Couple faces drug charges after police find meth lab in duplex

Law enforcement officials are worried that residents in upstate South Carolina are becoming more interested in buying meth as the number of meth labs continues to grow. Drug agents recently came across their fourth meth lab in York County so far this year. A 29-year-old man and his 26-year-old girlfriend now face drug charges for drug manufacturing.

Man arrested for drunk driving after hitting parked cars, tree

Alcohol can impair judgment, which is why it is dangerous to consume it and then drive. Driving while under the influence led a man in Greenville -- about 90 minutes outside Columbia -- to hit parked cars, a parking garage toll booth and a tree, among other objects. Police arrested him for drunk driving and several other offenses shortly after the accidents.

Internet crimes: identity theft increasing during tax season

'Tis the season for South Carolina residents to file their taxes. Tax season is also a popular time for identity thieves. Many scam artists are looking for ways to get a hold of Social Security numbers and file fake tax returns in order to receive multiple refunds. These Internet crimes can cause a mountain of problems for those who are affected.
